Avenir de la centrale Sendou : L’Etat entretient le flou
La centrale à charbon de Sendou (Bargny) est en totale contradiction par rapport à l’adhésion du Sénégal à la politique mondiale de réduction des gaz à effet de serre. Une centrale en panne depuis le 19 juillet 2019, obligeant même la Senelec a faire recours à la location pour combler le gap.
En commission, les députés ont interpellé le ministre du Pétrole et des Énergies quant à l’avenir de cette centrale. Mais pour le moment, rien n’est clair. L’Etat gouvernement entretient un flou total à ce sujet. « (…) Les discussions sont en cours entre Senelec, les actionnaires et les prêteurs de ce projet, pour un retour en exploitation de cette centrale (…) », indique Aïssatou Sophie Gladima.
Mais en même temps, le successeur de Mamadou Makhtar Cissé ajoute que « l’option de sa reconversion au gaz reste maintenue ».
